Community Service The Hampshire Regional School Committee has instituted a graduation requirement for 30 hours of community service. The goals of this requirement are to promote caring, contributing citizens; to make abstract knowledge relevant; and to contribute something of value to the greater Hampshire Regional community. Students will benefit in many ways, because community service gives them opportunities to make decisions and plan in advance; it requires skills that relate directly to the skills needed for the work place; and it teaches personal, social, and civic responsibility. These are important values as our young people prepare to graduate from high school, and your support can help.
