Charting Your Course" assemblies for 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th graders. Scheduling process and elective offerings will be explained. Parents are welcome to attend. (8th grade assembly will be at 7:50am in the auditorium)

Parents of 8th Graders "Transition Night Meeting" at 6pm in the Library. High School course selections and graduation requirements will be discussed.

Teacher Recommendation Day (snow date-Feb. 10)

Parents /guardians will be mailed a copy of the teacher recommendation form with a letter explaining the scheduling process and appeal process. (Appeal form is available on the website.) Appeal form is due March 2nd. (See process below)

Counselors meet individually with current 8th and 11th graders for scheduling

List of registered courses brought home by the student to parents/guardians along with a course change form. (NOT level change)

All requests for course changes from parents/guardians due. This is the ONLY opportunity for students and their parents/guardians to request changes.

Course
Changes:
Parents/guardians submit the course change form to the guidance counselor by March 22th. No course changes occur after March 22th, including in the summer and at the beginning of the school year, except in extenuating circumstances. Please make your course choices wisely.

Level
Changes:
1. Parents/guardians submit the course level appeal form to the student's guidance counselor.
2. Teachers will call a parent/guardian within two days of receiving the appeal form to discuss the appeal for a level change.
3. A conversation between the parent/guardian and the recommending teacher (or curriculum coordinator) must take place before any change in level can be made.
4. If the teacher and the parent/guardian cannot reach an agreement during this phone conversation, a meeting with the teacher, the curriculum coordinator(s), and in some instances, the guidance counselor will be arranged.
