All laptops come fully loaded with various software packages, including MS-Office (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, etc.) and industry standard anti-virus software. Educational software applications that are used by HRHS teachers and students are also loaded on the laptops. These applications include, Windows Media Player, FireFox, Google Earth, Inspiration, Type-to-Learn, Geometric Scketchpad, Safari, Real Player, Flip, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Elements, LoggerPro, Neo Office, AEJEE GIS, AppleWorks, iLife (includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD(2), GarageBand), World Book, iCalendar, iSync, Address Book, Sherlock, Sound Studio, Zinio Reader and QuickTime.
Service and Repair:
In addition to the software, leased laptops are repaired and maintained by HRHS technicians, fully insured (with deductible) for fire, theft, etc., and all units come with a 3 year comprehensive warranty. All laptops also come with free home dial-up Internet access.
Through this program, loaner laptops, while in for repair or service or warranty work, are available for students.
