Grade 7 Social Studies Country Research

The following research resources are available available for students through the HRHS Library and online, both at home and at school.

Databases

Facts on File - World Geography and Culture Online

Please ask the librarians for the passwords

The World Geography database will be the most useful choice within Facts on File or possibly Modern World History.

The CIA World Factbook

This online source is sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency and provides current statistics about the country you are researching. Never print the Factbook because it is an extremely long file. Use the pull-down "Select a Country or Location" menu to start your search.

The CIA World Leaders Page

Another site sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency. It enables you to locate the name of the current leaders for the country you are researching. Use the alphabetical table of contents to find the name of your country.
