A tag cloud or word cloud (or weighted list in visual design) is a visual depiction of user-generated tags, or simply the word content of a site, typically used to describe the content of web sites. Tags are usually single words and are normally listed alphabetically, and the importance of a tag is shown with font size or color. Here is a word cloud of this paragraph:

Wordle is a toy for generating "word clouds" from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

Open a second browser window and go to wordle.net.
Use one of your documents from your server to create your Wordle word cloud. Copy and paste your text into the Wordle text box. Once the word cloud is created use it to answer the following questions:

1. What document did you use?

2. What word or words were used often?

3. What word was used less than you expected?

4. Who created wordle?

5. Where was he working when he created it?

Put your answers on a contest answer form and hand it in at the Circ. Desk. Good Luck!
