MICHAEL BRAIDMAN, Advisor
Mr. Braidman has been teaching English at HRHS since 2003, and running the Drama Company since 2006. He was an active participant in his own high school’s drama company, as well as the Theatre Department at UMass Amherst, where he earned a BA in English and his teaching certification. As Advisor to the Company, Mr. Braidman directs one production a year, oversees all other productions, and coaches Improvers Anonymous, the improvisational comedy troupe.
LUCAS FITZPATRICK, Marketing Director & Middle School Drama Instructor
Lucas is a graduate of Hampshire Regional and longtime member of the Company. Outside of HRHS, he has taught improvisational comedy seminars at Springfield Technical Community College and acting intensives at the Hackworth School of Performing Arts, and worked professionally as an actor in the former Williston Northampton School Summer Theater and as the Box Office Manager at the Chester Theatre Company. Currently, Lucas facilitates the production of student-organized theatrical works at Westfield State University, while pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts. Since his return to Hampshire Regional, Lucas has enjoyed marketing the mainstage productions and training the next generation of performers in the Middle School Drama Club.
JOE LARKIN, Technical Direction & Design
Joe caught the theater bug in high school, and studied Theater Design with Jim Franklin at the University of Connecticut. He has been involved in more than 30 productions, serving in various roles including actor, carpenter, director, electrician, master electrician, fly operator, lighting designer, puppet maker, set designer, stagehand, stage manager, technical director and even writer. Joe enjoys working with the students at HRHS, and is quite happy that HRHS grads have gone on to their own study of theater in college.
SIKA BERGER, Costume Design
Sika studied theater production, acting, and filmmaking at Oberlin College, worked in TV production, and acted in high school, college, community, and repertory companies. She started costume work for the stage with Amherst Leisure Services Community Theater when her daughter, HRHS senior Elizabeth Rausch, began performing locally in musicals.
